Palais Jad Mahal

If you are looking for entertainment in Marrakech, consider Palais Jad Mahal. We first stopped by to check it out, and ended up making a dinner reservation for the following evening.

Upon arrival we got seated in the restaurant section where we had dinner. Food was awesome; a modern take on traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Entertainment started at 9:30 PM and included several shows that varied from belly-dancing to cabaret style dancers. Each one had a different spin, some included men with bizarre makeup and costumes. The dancers would start by mingling in the restaurant and then finish their act on a stage in the middle of the restaurant that is cleverly designed. The final show was a live band. It was entertaining but felt a bit cheesy at times, more like a cruise ship band.

The a la cart menu prices are relatively high; coupled with the entertainment it’s worth it. Reservation is recommended, and be aware of the dress code.
