The Berber Market

On our way back from Ourika Valley, our driver suggested we stop by a Berber market – and I am glad we agreed. We visited a traditional Berber market where the locals buy their everyday needs. No tourists and the industry that follows.

I think we visited the market during the busiest time of the day, and it was also a heavy shopping season – Eid Al-Adha was a few days later.

You could buy anything at the market; produce, shoes and sheep to slaughter for Eid. You could even buy herbal remedies from traditional doctors advertising their products over loud-speakers.
