We visited La Mamounia out of curiosity. It is a luxurious five star hotel that has great architecture. After a long daytrip to Ourika Valley, we wanted to have an early dinner and we thought to check out La Mamounia. The place is magnificent!

On our way back from Ourika Valley, our driver suggested we stop by a Berber market – and I am glad we agreed. We visited a traditional Berber market where the locals buy their everyday needs. No tourists and the industry that follows.

If you are looking for entertainment in Marrakech, consider Palais Jad Mahal. We first stopped by to check it out, and ended up making a dinner reservation for the following evening.
Riad Mur Akush
We arrived from Madrid early afternoon, on Sept 02. The riad arranged our transfer from the airport. After exiting the airport, it was a bit confusing to find our driver among all the other drivers holding signs. The 20-minute drive to the riad was pleasant and we encountered no traffic.
